About Vereign
Swiss trust infrastructure, open source, production-proven
Vereign AG is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. We built and operate the infrastructure processing 800,000+ verified messages per month in Swiss healthcare — every line of code publicly auditable under AGPLv3+.
Meet the team behind verified trustBuilding trust infrastructure for a connected world
Vereign is an infrastructure company. We build the trust layer for regulated digital communication — the layer that verifies identities, signs documents, and makes every exchange auditable. Our platform, Stargate, already processes 800,000+ verified messages per month in Swiss healthcare in partnership with HIN (Health Info Net).
We are headquartered in Zug, Switzerland — Europe's centre for digital trust and decentralised technology. Every line of our code is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 or later, auditable by anyone, and hosted on our own infrastructure.
Our trajectory: from research in self-sovereign identity and Gaia-X contributions to production deployment in Swiss healthcare — and towards the institutional trust infrastructure that regulated industries across Europe need. The proof of concept is behind us. The deployment phase begins now.

Leadership and key contributors
Georg Greve
CEO
Founding President of the Free Software Foundation Europe, recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit, and former expert witness in the EU antitrust case against Microsoft. Georg has worked on cryptography, digital identity, and sovereignty for over 30 years. He co-founded Vereign to build the infrastructure that makes institutional trust verifiable — not assumed.
Dr. Felix Greve
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Dr. Felix Greve brings operational depth from the enterprise infrastructure sector, with experience spanning regulated-industry deployment and decentralised trust architecture. He co-founded Vereign to move decentralised identity from research into production — and has overseen its deployment across Swiss healthcare.
Zdravko Iliev
Head of Engineering
Zdravko Iliev leads Vereign's engineering function, with responsibility for the systems that process over 800,000 verified interactions per month in Swiss healthcare. His focus is on building infrastructure that is both production-grade and auditable — open source by architectural decision.

Strategic Partners
Health Info Net (HIN)
Switzerland's health information network and Vereign's primary production partner. HIN operates SEAL across Swiss healthcare — authenticating over 800,000 verified messages per month for more than 30,000 GP offices and healthcare institutions nationwide.

Cyberware
Sofia-based cybersecurity firm specialising in autonomous vulnerability detection, penetration testing, and regulatory compliance. Cyberware has been using SEAL since mid-2025 to deliver sensitive security findings to clients with cryptographic proof of authenticity — replacing the weakly encrypted PDFs and plain email that remain industry standard.
